Our customer
Robert Bosch GmbH is the world's largest automotive supplier. With around 440 branches and regional companies in over 60 countries and more than 400,000 employees, it is also a manufacturer of industrial technology, consumer goods as well as in the field of energy and building technology.
So far, Robert Bosch GmbH has been working with the SAP RF Framework for more than 15 years. Already in WM, more than 250 logical transactions are in use worldwide on about 5000 devices.
As part of a UX initiative, the company was looking for, among other things, a solution for a more modern design without losing the proven and flexible stepflow and screen logic in SAP WM and EWM. In addition to a more modern design, the application was to optimally display the transactions on different end devices through responsive design and improve usability through further simple adjustments.
Especially as the central IT of a large group of companies, Robert Bosch GmbH attached importance to the fact that the solution is based on SAP standard technologies, so that the new application can also be supported and further developed with internal know-how.
The gamechanger
By using the UI5 Converter at Robert Bosch GmbH, both standard applications and self-developed interfaces in SAP EWM/WM RF can be converted into a responsive UI5 app within 10 minutes. All logic of the RF framework is preserved and the generated application in standard SAPUI5 can be seamlessly integrated into the SAP Fiori Launchpad. After successful implementation, our reseller HPC assisted in customizing the generated interfaces to the needs of the end users through a variety of configuration options.
